The virus is a staggering challenge for all of humanity. The virus does not recognize borders, companies, politics, skin color or time zones. It is not a government or corporation that will fix this. This is a humanitarian crisis. We need humans to work together now. The virus works 24/7 and will not stop before a vaccine is developed.
Plenty of countries completely missed on how to stop almost 350,000 deaths and over 5 million cases.
Countries like the USA undid their government pandemic response teams and now the USA has 100,000 deaths in three months. I personally know someone who lost their father and could not say goodbye. Their father did not understand why he had no visitors. That is a terrifying way to die.
Oh ,and yes, and the economy is going down the drain.
How do we get a vaccine to millions of people?
- Find the best team of people to work on the issue with expertise from the government, Information technology, Manufacturing, Supply Chain distribution and Digital platforms.
- Map out the current or AS IS Manufacturing and Distribution situation to understand where we currently stand.
- Engage all the above expertise to map out a TO BE process. Ask technology experts how we can insert technology into the process to accelerate manufacturing and distribution. Do we need robotics, AI, data mining, machine learning? This may even require experts from Amazon to stop making Jeff Bezos more billions and help solve this problem. For free.
- Now that the future process is mapped out, create a blueprint document for each area of expertise to follow and create thier supporting plan.
- Hold all parties accountable to the plan weekly and begin testing the execution within a controlled group ASAP.
- Communicate, communicate, and communicate (hello Facebook, Google?) to remain transparent, understood and give people hope.
This is the primary plan. If you have something better, please let me know.
